The AVENT Express Bottle and Babyfood Warmer allows you to warm all AVENT feeding bottles, the VIA Feeding System as well as baby food jars and tins and VIA Cups, safely and quickly. The AVENT Express Bottle and Babyfood Warmer isn't meant for keeping liquid or food warm as vitamins can be destroyed. The speed at which the Warmer heats the milk or food depends on the size of the bottle or container and the starting temperature of the milk or food (e.g. room temperature 20°C or out of fridge 5°C). Diagram 2 gives an indication of approximate warming time. Always test the temperature before feeding. Contents a) Basket b) Bottle Warmer body c) Dial d) Babyfood container and weaning spoon Instructions for Use a) For AVENT Feeding Bottles and VIA Feeding System 1) Ensure basket is in place inside the Bottle Warmer. 2) Place the assembled, filled bottle in the Warmer. 3) For 125ml/4oz bottles and 180ml VIA cups, fill the Warmer with water to just above the level of milk in the bottle. 4) For larger bottles (260ml/330ml) and 240ml VIA cups, fill the Warmer to 15mm (1/2 inch) below the rim of the Warmer. 5) Never let the water level rise above the neck of the bottle or spill over the edge of the Warmer. 6) Plug in the unit and switch on at the mains. Turn the dial to setting 3. 7) The light will illuminate to indicate the Warmer is working. 8) During the warming process, the light will come on and off to indicate that the water surrounding the bottle is being heated to the maximum temperature of the setting. 9) Always test the feed and when it has reached the required temperature, remove immediately. 10) Shake the bottle gently and check the temperature of the milk by sprinkling a few drops on to your wrist before you feed your baby. 11) Take care not to overheat the milk. NB. The feed will warm up quicker in a VIA cup than in a feeding bottle. NB: The basket can be removed when heating the AVENT Magic Cup and other makes of bottles. NB: please refer to the timings in Diagram 2. b) For baby food jars, tins and VIA Cups 1) Ensure basket is in place inside the Bottle Warmer. 2) Remove the lid and place jar, tin or VIA Cup in the Warmer. 3) Fill the Warmer with water to 15 mm (1/2 inch) below the top of the jar/tin or VIA Cup. 4) Plug in the unit and switch on at the mains. Turn the dial to setting 3. 5) Continue as 7-9 above. 6) The Warmer will work in the same way as for feeding bottles. Take care when removing the jar, tin or VIA Cup as they, and the water surrounding them, will be hot. 7) For small jars/tins you may find it beneficial to place a screw ring from an AVENT Bottle below the jar/tin before adding the water in order to remove the container easily. 8) Stir the food and test it on a spoon yourself to ensure it is not too hot for your baby. 9) Take care not to overheat the feed. NB: please refer to the timings in Diagram 2 Spoon · Spoon conforms to EN 14372. · Small-bowled spoons especially designed for small mouths and tender gums. · Before first and every use, wash and rinse thoroughly. · Dishwasher safe. · Sterilise using AVENT Steam Steriliser or boil for 5 minutes. · Do not leave in sunlight when not in use for longer than recommended, or in heat or sterilising solution, as this may weaken the spoon. · For use 6+ months. For your child's safety and health. Care of your Bottle Warmer Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning. Remove basket and wipe inside and outside with a damp cloth only, this will keep the Warmer looking new. DO NOT USE AN ABRASIVE CLEANER. It may be advantageous to use pre-boiled or filtered water in your Bottle Warmer in order to reduce limescale build up. WARNING! Always use this product with adult supervision. Before each use, inspect the product. Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness. Always check food temperature before feeding. De-scaling You should de-scale your AVENT Express Bottle Warmer every four weeks to ensure it continues to work 100 % effectively. Hazard Warning · When in use the Warmer contains hot water. · Always keep the Warmer and its lead out of the reach of small children. · Always place container into Warmer before adding water. · Ensure water has been added before switching the unit on. · If the feed is left in the Warmer, the temperature will continue to increase as the thermostat cuts in/out whilst connected to the electric mains. · Always test the feed and when it has reached the required temperature, remove immediately. · Always unplug from the socket after each use to switch the bottle warmer off. · NEVER IMMERSE IN WATER. The following guidelines are the approximate temperature the water* surrounding the container can reach. This is not a heating guide for liquid or food! Setting 1 2 3 Approximate water* temparature surrounding the container 35 ­ 45 °C 45 ­ 75 °C 75 ­ 85 °C EITHER: Mix one sachet of citric acid (10 gms) with 200ml/7 fl.oz. of water. Ensure basket is in place and pour solution into Warmer. Heat for 10 minutes on setting 3. After 10 minutes, switch off by unplugging from the wall and leave to stand for 30 minutes. Pour the solution away and rinse the Warmer with tap water. OR Pour 50ml/2 fl.oz. of vinegar (white) mixed with 100ml/4 fl.oz. of cold water into the Warmer (with basket in place). Allow to stand in the unit until any limescale has dissolved. Empty the unit and rinse thoroughly. Guarantee AVENT Ltd. guarantees that should the AVENT Express Bottle Warmer become faulty during twelve months from the date of purchase, it will be replaced free of charge during this time. Please return it to the retailer where it was purchased. Please keep your receipt as a proof of purchase, together with a note of when and where purchased. For the guarantee to be valid, please note: · The Warmer must be used according to the instructions in this leaflet and connected to a suitable electricity supply. · The claim must not be a result of accident, misuse, dirt, neglect or fair wear and tear. Conservez-le soigneusement pour pouvoir vous y référer. Le Chauffe-Biberon/Chauffe-Repas Express AVENT vous permet de réchauffer rapidement tous vos biberons AVENT, ainsi que petits pots en verre et pots VIA, en toute sécurité. Il n'est pas destiné à garder au chaud liquide ou nourriture, ce qui détruirait leurs vitamines. La taille du biberon ou du récipient et la température de départ du lait ou des solides déterminent la rapidité avec laquelle l'appareil atteint la température souhaitée. (Une température ambiante équivaut à 20 degrés, à la sortie du réfrigérateur, 5 degrés.) Le tableau 2 donne une idée du minutage à surveiller. Vérifiez toujours la température du lait avant de donner le biberon. F 6) Le chauffe-biberon opérera comme pour un biberon. Attention en retirant le pot de la cuve : il sera chaud, ainsi que l'eau qui l'entoure. 7) Pour faciliter le retrait des petits pots en verre, vous pouvez les placer dans la cuve sur une bague à tétine AVENT avant de mettre l'eau. 8) Remuez la nourriture avec une cuillère et goûtez-la pour vérifier qu'elle n'est pas trop chaude pour votre bébé. 9) Attention de ne pas surchauffer. Pour la santé et la sécurité de votre enfant. ATTENTION ! Ce produit s'utilise toujours sous la surveillance d'un adulte. Avant chaque utilisation, vérifiez son état. Jetez aux moindres signes de détériorations. Vérifiez toujours la température de tout plat avant de nourrir votre enfant. Mode d'emploi a) Pour les biberons: 1) Assurez-vous que le panier se trouve bien à l'intérieur de la cuve. 2) Placez d'abord le biberon préparé dans la cuve. 3) Pour les biberons 125ml ou pots VIA 180ml, prenez le niveau de lait dans le biberon comme repère et remplissez d'eau juste au-dessus de ce niveau. 4) Pour les biberons de 260, 330ml ou les pots VIA 240ml, remplissez la cuve jusqu'à 1,5 cm du bord. 5) Ne laissez surtout pas l'eau déborder. 6) Branchez l'appareil. Tournez le bouton à température 3. 7) Le voyant s'allume pour indiquer que l'appareil est en marche. 8) Quand l'eau atteint la bonne température, le voyant s'allume et s'éteint par intermittence pour montrer que l'eau qui entoure le biberon chauffe jusqu'au maximum du programme choisi. (Voir guide.) 9) Quand vous jugez que le biberon est prêt, retirez-le. 10) Secouez-le doucement et vérifiez la température du lait avant de le donner, en versant quelques gouttes sur votre poignet. 11) Attention de ne pas faire chauffer vos biberons trop fort. NB 1. le contenu d'un pot VIA se réchauffe plus vite que celui d'un biberon ou d'un pot en verre. NB 2. Le panier se retire quand vous voulez réchauffer la tasse AVENT MagicTM ou d'autres marques de biberons. NB 3. Référez-vous au minutage du tableau 2. b) Pour les pots en verre et les pots VIA: 1) Assurez-vous que le panier se trouve bien à l'intérieur de la cuve. 2) Enlevez le couvercle et placez le pot dans le chauffe-biberon. 3) Versez de l'eau autour du pot en prenant le goulot comme niveau et arrêtez-vous à 1,5 cm du goulot. 4) Branchez l'appareil et tournez le bouton sur le programme 3. 5) Référez-vous ensuite aux instructions 7-9 ci-dessus. Entretien de votre Chauffe-biberon Débranchez et laissez refroidir avant de nettoyer. Pour préserver l'aspect du neuf, enlevez le panier et essuyez intérieur et extérieur de l'appareil avec un chiffon humide uniquement. N'UTILISEZ PAS DE PRODUITS ABRASIFS. Nous vous recommandons d'utiliser de l'eau préalablement bouillie ou filtrée dans votre chauffe-biberon EXPRESS pour atténuer les dépôts de calcaire. Précautions d'utilisation · Assurez-vous que l'appareil est posé sur une surface plane et stable. · Quand il est en marche, cet appareil contient de l'eau chaude. · Gardez toujours le chauffe-biberon et son cordon électrique hors de portée des enfants. · Mettez toujours votre biberon d'abord dans le Chauffe-Biberon, avant de verser l'eau. · Vérifiez toujours que l'appareil contient de l'eau avant de le brancher. · Quand le lait a atteint la température désirée, retirez le biberon immédiatement. · Si vous le laissez dans le chauffe-biberon, il continuera à chauffer car la température continue à monter tant que l'appareil est branché et que le thermostat s'éteint et se rallume. · Vérifiez toujours la température du biberon avant de le donner · Débranchez toujours l'appareil quand vous avez fini de vous en servir, sinon il ne s'éteindra pas. · NE PLONGEZ JAMAIS L'APPAREIL DANS L'EAU. Guide des températures approximatives que l'eau* qui entoure le récipient dans l'appareil peut atteindre quand le bouton est tourné sur les chiffres donnés.
